Travel guitar (mahogany)
For transport, the strings stay attached to the tuners and to the bridge, the body and neck are held together with two straps. To make the instrument playable, slip the neck in to the slot. with an allen key (included), you turn two screws that fix in to position two hooks (one on each side of the neck, tune up the guitar and it's ready to play. All that takes a few minutes.
I later put in a single coil, volume tone, jack & pickguard. For a customer that travels very often and needed an instrument that packed easily in a standard suit-case. |

Same configuration as No. 9 « a », but body and neck made of padouk and hardware in black finish. I later modified the instrument as it appeared to be too heavy ( about the same weight as the model made by Fender in rosewood). I emptied the body leaving the central part for bridge and pick-ups. Then I covered the top with a 5 mm . bookmatched « flamed « burl maple with a maple binding around the design. The result is a powerful boomy sound with a cristal attack.
There shall be with time other instruments made, that I with pleasure will show on my web-site. I am always listening to critics and remarks of fellow guitarists and will always keep the highest standard of finish and playability. |
